Safety information
This detector is intended for use as a fire alarm initiating device in fire alarm systems. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Improper installation may result in failure to detect fire, personal injury, or property damage.
Detectors must not be used with detector protection unless the combination has been evaluated and found suitable for the purpose.
Do not point the infrared lens at strong energy sources such as lasers or the sun. This can reduce accuracy and damage the detector.
Do not operate above 50°C (122°F) ambient temperature. Sustained high ambient temperatures may impede performance and measurement accuracy. Rated operating range: −20°C to 50°C (−4°F to 122°F).
Grounding
The detector must be properly grounded. When powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), ground the detector through the shielded Ethernet cable connected to a grounded PoE switch or injector.
The I/O pigtail cable does not provide a dedicated grounding conductor. Use the Ethernet PoE connection connected to a grounded switch.
Mise à la terre
Le détecteur doit être correctement mis à la terre. Lorsqu’il est alimenté via Power over Ethernet (PoE), la mise à la terre du détecteur doit être assurée par le câble Ethernet blindé connecté à un commutateur ou un injecteur PoE mis à la terre.
Remarque Le câble pigtail d’E/S ne fournit pas de conducteur de mise à la terre dédié. Utiliser la connexion Ethernet PoE raccordée à un commutateur mis à la terre.
