Compatible PoE power sourcing equipment
Use only PoE power supply equipment that meets the requirements of UL 60950-1 or UL 62368-1 and meets the requirements of UL 2684, section 10.
The power supply equipment chassis must be grounded.
Recommended accessories:
PoE-compliant network switches (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt) with grounded chassis.
PoE midspan injectors compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt.
Gigabit PoE injector 15 W (T199507) (T911676 is included in this accessory).
Gigabit PoE injector 16 W (T911183).
Document the manufacturer name and model number of the PoE switch or injector in the system commissioning record.
Supplementary I/O circuits
|
Alarm/trouble output |
Dry-contact relay (solid-state opto relay). Connect to Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) IDC. |
|
Alarm output |
DIGOUT1A (+) / DIGOUT1B (−), dedicated as alarm output. |
|
Trouble/fault output |
FAULT_A (+) / FAULT_B (−), 1× dedicated fault output (NC). |
|
Digital outputs |
3× opto-isolated, 0–48 V DC, max 350 mA (derated to 200 mA at 60°C). |
|
Digital inputs |
2× opto-isolated, Vin low: 0–1.5 V DC, Vin high: 3–25 V DC. |
|
Min conductor size |
26 AWG (0.13 mm²) per UL 2684 §14.4.2b (jacketed, multi conductor cable). |
|
Grounded conductor |
White or gray insulation, distinguishable from others. |
|
Circuit type |
Power-limited, per NEC Article 725 Class 2. |
Alarm and trouble signal conductors from the FACP to the detector connector must be a minimum of 18 AWG (0.82 mm2) per NFPA 72 and NEC Article 760. The detector M12 pigtail assembly uses 26 AWG conductors per UL 2684 Sec. 14.4.2(b).
For Class A (Style D) wiring, arrange two separate conductors for each alarm signals (DIGOUT1A/1B) and trouble signals (FAULT_A/B), one incoming and one outgoing.
